Should the Vatican Apologize to the Knights Templar?

King Philip the "Fair" of France and Pope Clement V accused the Templars of things like atheism, sodomy, blasphemy, and worse. Knights were tortured, forced to confess to all kinds of crimes, and the order was disbanded so that France and Vatican could appropriate their lands and wealth. Do they deserve an apology?
