Song of Solomon:
The Song of Solomon has also been called the Song of Songs and the Canticle, constituting
one of the more popular books of the Bible because of the worldly and sometimes sexual
nature of some passages. The author is unknown, but it was probably finished being written
sometime around 400 BCE. Despite its popularity, there was a great deal of debate about
whether or not to include it in the canon. Like Esther, it simply never mentions God and
doesn't deal at all with matters like religion or law.
