Definition: Phenomena are classified as "paranormal" when they defy conventional scientific explanation. Thus, the explanations normally given are either supernatural or pseudo-scientific, and as of yet unconfirmed by independent testing. Basic examples of paranormal phenomena would be ESP and divination.
