Definition:
The Hebrew word yigdol literally means "to be great" and in practice
is used as a part of an 11th century chant/hymn to mean "Great is He,"
in reference to God. The term if often found at the beginning or end of the Jewish
prayer book (siddur) and has been adopted by some as a Christian hymn.
