Biography:
David Berg, who went by the name of Moses, founded an extremist Christian group
known as the Children of God (later "The Family") in the late 1960s. According to Berg,
contemporary Christian theology was watered down, irrelevant and no longer true to Jesus'
original message. He and his militant evangelists preached a sort of theological and
social revolution around traditional Christian beliefs.
