Definition:
For the Greek skeptical philosophers, ataraxia was the ultimate goal for humans. Ataraxia is Greek for "tranquility of the mind," and in Greek Skepticism it represented the attainment of a state of calm and reasoned contemplation, especially when it comes to divisive issues.
