The Temple of Zeus Olymios (Olympieion, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Greek: Naos tou Olimbiou Dios) is the largest temple ever built in Greece. Made of Pentelic marble (marble from Mount Pentelus was used to construct many other structures, like the Parthenon), the whole temple was 40m wide and nearly 108m long. The existence of a cult devoted to Zeus evidently existed here even earlier than the temple itself.
