Mel Gibson's Father: Holocaust Exaggerated

Saturday February 21, 2004
Most people are probably aware by now that Mel Gibson's father, Hutton Gibson, is an Antisemite and a Holocaust Denier. But, just in case there were people who had questions or doubts, he has done us all a favor by giving an interview with a New York radio talk show host (Steve Feuerstein) in which he makes his position clear.

Australia's The Age explains:

In his interview on WSNR radio's Speak Your Piece, to be broadcast on Monday, Hutton Gibson, argued that many European Jews counted as death camp victims of the Nazi regime had in fact fled to countries like Australia and the United States.
"It's all -- maybe not all fiction -- but most of it is," he said, adding that the gas chambers and crematoria at camps like Auschwitz would not have been capable of exterminating so many people. "Do you know what it takes to get rid of a dead body? To cremate it?" he said. "It takes a litre of petrol and 20 minutes. Now, six million of them? They (the Germans) did not have the gas to do it. That's why they lost the war."
During his lengthy radio interview, Hutton Gibson, 85, said Jews were out to create "one world religion and one world government" and outlined a conspiracy theory involving Jewish bankers, the US Federal Reserve and the Vatican, among others.

The New York Post has more:

"They're after one world religion and one world government," Hutton Gibson, 85, said in a radio interview that will air Monday night. "That's why they've attacked the Catholic Church so strongly, to ultimately take control over it by their doctrine."
"They claimed that there were 6.2 million in Poland before the war, and they claimed after the war there were 200,000 - therefore he must have killed 6 million of them," he said. "They simply got up and left! They were all over the Bronx and Brooklyn and Sydney, Australia, and Los Angeles." He said the Germans did not have enough gas to cremate 6 million people and that the concentration camps were just "work camps."
Gibson repeatedly smeared prominent Jews as money-grubbing power-mongers. "Greenspan tells us what to do. Someone should take him out and hang him." He even belittled the Pope's reported endorsement of "The Passion," recounting how Mel referred to the pontiff as an "ass." Gibson reserved most of his vitriol for Judaism, asking: "Is the Jew still actively anti-Christian? He is, for by being a Jew, he is anti-everyone else."

In an interview of his own with Peggy Noonan, Mel Gibson is reported as having said that "My dad taught me my faith, and I believe what he taught me. The man never lied to me in his life." I wonder if Hutton Gibson has repeated the above statements to his son Mel and if, therefore, Mel believes them? He certainly has never said publicly that his father is mistaken about the Holocaust and the Jews. I can understand a man not wanting to publicly state that his father is, well, a jerk - but these statements are rather extreme and do merit a response.

Update: Read about Mel Gibson's run-in with the law — an anti-Semitic tirade during a drunk-driving arrest in which the police allegedly tried to cover things up.

Mel Gibson’s father is sadly misinformed. Has he ever seen “Schindler’s List?” Maybe not. He sure hates Jews. But I’d rather hang with Jews than Mel Gibson’s alcoholic screwed up family, thank you very much.

Hutton Gibson is stupid to deny or minimize the Holocast. His son, Mel, kinda adds to the stupidity of his father, by getting drunk and carousing with women.

` Let me make this very clear that Hutton Gibson is right. Holocaust and 9/11 are both dramas constructed to overcome and destroy anyone who stands in the path of the Jews. Jews want to dominate the whole world. And that is the reason why they have dominated us Americans first. Has anyone of you ever wondered why we have that one eyed Pyramid on a Dollar??? That one eye is the representation of the Jews long waited prophet i.e Satan. Ever seen the sign (Eagle holding wheat in its right leg and arrows in its left… well that is the symbol of Jew aswell because when their so called which is actually Satan will appear on the face of this world he will hold Heaven in his right hand and Hell in his left one but in reality it will be the complete opposite to what will be seen at that time. And he will be one eyed. The Eagle on the Dollar is also one eyed. ) `

Either you’re a troll or one of the dumbest people on the net, which would be quite an achievement.

Having been to Dachau and seen the photographic evidence, i’m inclined to accept that it happened. It seems improbable that you could find hundreds of people THAT skinny and get them to dog pile in a trench. Or to get all the survivors and captors to agree so closely on what happened there.

What is odd about Holocaust deniers is that they don’t appear to have a problem with the actual concept of killing 6 million Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, and others.

Mel Gibson’s father is a true idiot. I’ve been to Germany and seen Flossenberg. You can still feel the despair and hopelessness which is very eerie. I heard the personal account of my father-in-law remembering the nazis marching concentration camp prisoners through his town and killing the weak and leaving them by the road side. If he did some real research the Nazis not only cremated the Jews, they also hanged them, shot them, and used the for medical experiments.

(9) Tom Edgar says:

As claimed by Mel Gibson, I had a father obsessed with TRUTH, and I believe anything that man ever said.

Now unlike Mel’s crackpot father mine was one of the British soldiers to enter the German death camps on liberation. Should I give credence to the two who were never there or to my father who was and forever visibly affected by the horrors.

Guy with the point(ed) head.

Stop worrying about the one eye whilst walking around with both of yours closed.
Blindly seeing what you want to see whilst blathering on about non existent heavens, hells, and Gods. It is totally irrelevant.

Jolly Jack.

Mel didn’t get his brains from his father.
You can’t give what you never had.
