Anonymous Protests of the Church of Scientology and Scientology Practices

Why Does Anonymous Protest the Practices of the Church of Scientology?

From Austin Cline, About.com

There are many different approaches used by people who criticize the Church of Scientology. Some focus on Scientology beliefs, like the idea of a alien warlord named Xenu. Others focus on the creation of Scientology by L. Ron Hubbard, a science fiction writer who created a religion based on what sounds like science fiction stories. Finally, others focus on what they regard as unethical or even illegal behavior. This is what we find in "Project Chanology" and their Anonymous protests.

Also known as "Operation Chanology," this is a creation of an internet-based group known as Anonymous which has been involved in other activities, but their peaceful protests in front of Scientology centers are what have made them best known to the general public. They may be bringing more facts about Scientology to the public's attention than anyone else has thus far. The only people who don't appreciate this seem to be those at Scientology.
