Postponing Elections in the Event of Terrorism

There has been some discussion about setting up the conditions for postponing federal elections in the event of a large terrorist attack. At first glance this seems like it might be reasonable - after all, if people are scared they might not vote or they might vote differently. ,There are, however, strong arguments against it. What do you think?
