Should States Make Their Own Decisions About Assisted Suicide?

Conservative defenders of federalism don't want that principle to be used when it comes to physician-assisted suicide. They want to stop any states from passing or using laws that would let terminally ill patients kill themselves with a drug overdose. Is this justified?
