Biography:
Valentinus, who is known to have been in Rome between 136 and 165 CE, was an
important gnostic thinker whose works have influenced people even today, like Carl
Jung for example. He was an object for attack and criticism by many early Christian
theologians (including Tertullian and Irenaeus) due to the popularity of his beliefs.
