Book of Nehemiah:
The book of Nehemiah was probably written some time in the 4th century BCE by an author
who emphasized not simply obedience to God's law, but also a sense of personal
relationship with God. Nehemiah apparently believed that God was very active in the
progress of history, moving the Persian king to allow Jews to return home and even
determining the things they did in their daily lives.
