Book of Malachi:
Malachi is one of the "minor" prophets whose work was done after the Jews had returned to the promised land from their exile in Babylon. In Hebrew, Malachi means "my messenger," and the book of Malachi was probably written before the middle of the 5th century BCE. The primary theme of the book is Israel is failing to live up to its covenant with God.

This was around 50 years after Zecheriah and Haggai, and by this time the Temple had been completed, but the priests were not acting they way they should. For example, he complained about how priests were using sick or blemished animals for sacrifices, and he was also concerned that sexual immorality was being too tolerated.
