Definition:
D. James Kennedy was once a dance instructor, but his real fame has come through his Coral Ridge Baptist Church in Florida, which he opened in 1959, a weekly radio program which he started in the early 1970s and a weekly television show which he started in 1979. Kennedy promotes an evangelical, fundamentalist vision of Christianity which became popular through the 1980s.
