Letters of John:
The three Letters of John may be separated into separate books in the New Testament, but they constitute a single unit. Because of their commonalities, they are believed to have been written by the same person no earlier than the end of the 1st century CE. All three are written for the purpose of addressing doctrinal or organizational threats to the Christian community.
