Definition:
Epiphany is a word which comjes from the Greek term for "manifestation" and is a Christian feast which celebrates the "manifestations" of Jesus' identity and role in saving humanity. Thus, events which are commemorated include his baptism in the Jordan River by John the Baptist, the visit of the Three Kings to his manger in, and his miracle at Cana, where his power to perform miracles was demonstrated. Typically, though, the baptism is emphasized in Eastern churches while the adoration of the Wise Men is emphasized in the Western churches.

Eiphany has been called "Old Christmas" because, before the celebration of Christmas became so important, this was the feast day which Christian churches focused on when it came to celebrating the life and birth of Jesus Christ. Once Christmas was adopted, any focus on the birth of Jesus was dropped from Eipiphany in favor of the other events.

What is the Philosophy of Religion?
Sometimes confused with theology, the Philosophy of Religion is the philosophical study of religious beliefs, religious doctrines, religious arguments and religious history.
