Definition:
The word Bible is derived from the Greek term biblia, the plural form of biblion, or book. The Bible may be treated as a book, but it is really a collection of books which comprise the holy scriptures of Christianity. There is a total of 66 books, 39 coming from the Jewish tradition and the rest coming from Christianity itself.
