Definition:
Anthroposophy is a 20th century outgrowth from theosophy which was developed by Rudolph Steiner (1861-1925). When he made his final break from the German theosophical movement in 1913, he did not abandon its doctrines entirely. Instead, he placed human needs and interests more at the center rather than the divine.

Anthroposophy is expressed in pseudo-scientific terminology, perhaps in part because Steiner spent a great deal of time editing the scientific works of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the famous German author. According to anthroposophical followers, humans have been reborn many times but have reached the point where they have forgotten their spiritual origins and have become lost in the material world.

What is the Philosophy of Religion?
Sometimes confused with theology, the Philosophy of Religion is the philosophical study of religious beliefs, religious doctrines, religious arguments and religious history. The line between theology and the philosophy of religion isn't always sharp, but the primary difference is that theology tends to be apologetical in nature, committed to the defense of particular religious positions, whereas Philosophy of Religion is committed to the investigation of religion itself, rather than the truth of any particular religion.
