Definition:
In Article III, section 2 of the Constitution, federal courts are given jurisdiction over all
cases involving Admirality and Maritime Laws. The exact nature of these laws is not defined,
requiring the courts themselves to decide what they are - but jurisdiction over them
is important for international and interstate transportation.
