Definition: The word yeti comes from the Tibetan miti; mi means "person" and ti means "a kind of animal" The Yeti is supposed to be a large, bipedal, hominid-like creature similar to Bigfoot, except that it lives in cold, mountainous regions like Nepal, Tibet, and Siberia. Stories put it at between 7 and 10 feet tall with very large feet and large amounts of hair all over its body. There have been any number of reports of yeti tracks in the mountains, but all footprints in the snow tend to grow larger when exposed to sunlight, so this could easily account for such claims. See Bigfoot for more.
