Definition: Telekinesis is the psi ability to affect matter by the powers of the mind alone - in particular being able to move or bend objects. The first known scientific experiments performed on alleged telekinetic abilities were performed in 1853 by the eminent English scientist Michael Faraday (1791-1867). He was intrigued by the phenomenon of "table turning," recently introduced to England by mediums from the United States.
