Biography:
S.G. Soal of Queen Mary College, London University, was a prominent and influential
scholar whose research into psychic phenomena played an important role in the development
of the belief in such phenomena in Britain during the early portion of the 20th century. Early
on Soal was skeptical of the existence of psi and was very critical of the experiments
performed in the United States by J. B. Rhine.
