Definition:
Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities, infamous for the wickedness of their inhabitants, which
were supposed to be located somewhere along the southern shore of the Dead Sea. Unfortunately,
no archeological evidence of their actual existence has ever been recovered. According to Genesis
19:15-22, Abraham's nephew Lot
traveled there to find righteous men, but failed and thereafter the cities were obliterted by
the wrath of God.
