Definition:
The word demiurge is derived from the Greek demiourgos means
"artisan" or "public worker." Plato used the concept of demiurge
to designate the divine means by which reality was created. It was later employed in
Christian gnosticism to distinguish between the creator of this world from the
"real" creator of the "real" spiritual world.
