Definition:
In Islam, an umra can refer to a "lesser pilgrimage," or more specifically
a religious visit to Mecca at a time other than the normal month for hajj.
More often, however, the term umra is used to refer to some of the rites
performed during a normal hajj. These include, for example, the
circumambulation of the Ka'ba in Mecca (tawaf).
