Definition:
The Arabic word mala'ika is the term used in Islam for "angel" - the Qur'an depicts them
as "messagners of light" and "messengers of humanity". They do Allah's bidding, often
by informing humans of Allah's will. It was one of these mala'ika, Jibril (Gabriel) who
delivered Allah's revelation to Muhammad.
