Definition:
Private subjectivism is a term which is used in both aesthetics an in ethics. For aesthetics,
it refers to the idea that claims of aesthetic value do not refer to objective qualities of
some object, but rather are statements of the personal preferences of the speaker. For
ethics, it is a metaethical theory according to which moral claims are not statements about
the objective qualities of acts but rather the personal values and likes and dislikes of the
speaker.
