Biography:
Plato (c. 428- c. 348 BCE) was an ancient Greek philosopher who is well known for having recorded the dialogues between Socrates and others who lived in Athens at the time. These dialogues form one of the main pillars of Western philosophy, exploring in depth many aspects of nearly every philosophical issue discussed since. It has been said that all of Western philosophy is a footnote to Plato.
