Biography:
In the gospel accounts of Jesus' life, Joseph is depicted as Mary's wife and Jesus' father (or adoptive father). He is portrayed as a carpenter, but doesn't last long in the stories, so some believe that he died before Jesus began his ministry. He was declared a patron saint of the Universal Church by Pope Pius IX and his Feast Day is on March 19th.
