Definition: In Hinduism, karma can mean simply action or work, but over time it came to refer to the personal consequences or destiny which accrues from actions. Thus, good actions lead to the accumulation of good karma, which means that a person can be reborn into good conditions in the next life. Bad actions, however, lead to the accumulation of bad karma, which leads to rebirth into unfortunate conditions in the next life.
