Acrocorinth is both the huge hill behind the city as well as a massive castle that is situated on top of it. In antiquity the summit of Acrocorinth was the site of a shrine to Aphrodite, but there is no trace of that now. Since around 500 BCE there have been fortifications there and, currently, there is a Frankish castle there which you can visit.
