The Lemnia Athena, so-called because it was created by Phidias the Lemnian around 450 BCE, once stood on the Acropolis and is described by ancient authors like Pausanias. The original was, of course, bronze and today all we have are Roman marble copies.
This particular representation of Athena would have been regarded as especially important for the Greeks because it had an honored place on the Acropolis, believed by the Athenians to be one of Athena's most sacred sites in all the world. We can, therefore, probably assume that this image of Athena is how the Athenians thought she would most want to be presented to mortal humans.
