Sites can be advertised either by being linked to in the various Subject Pages, or by people paying to advertise on the site. If you want to mention your site in the chat or forum, that is also fine. However, you can't use the chat or forums specifically for the purpose of just advertising your site - especially other chats or forums. About.com is a business, and how many businesses use their resources to advertise competitors?
You can certainly include a link to your site or your forum in your forum signature file. However, posting messages which are only to advertise other forums and chats, or posting in chat just to advertise other forums and chats, is not a valid reason to use those aspects of the site. Although we encourage people to share helpful URLs with other members, visiting the forum or chat with the exclusive intent of spamming or promoting other forums and Web sites may result in an immediate loss of posting/chatting privileges. Spamming is rude. Please respect your host and the About site that hosts these forums.
If you would like this site to link to your forum or chat, you will need to either submit a link for consideration via the form, or start a Sprinks account
