About Objectivism and Objectivists
Although it has other meanings in philosophy, here we are talking about Objectism as the name chosen by Ayn Rand for her philosophical system. Rand wanted to develop a philosophy that was all about living freely. The central tenets of her philosophical system can be stated as: Reality is, independent of our desires or prejudices; the best means for comprehending reality is thorugh our mind and reasoning abilities; that morality is best judged by what promotes human happiness and survival; political and social harmony are best achieved through freedom and voluntary associations.
