Discussion: Legalizing Drugs

A forum member writes: Legalising drugs will solve many problems. Remember when Alcohol was banned in the USA? That proves that making a drug illegal only creates crime organisations that plague society even after you come to your senses. Are there any good arguments against the above reasoning? I can think of some (like 'hardness' of each drug) but nothing truly devastating to the main point...

Search at youtube for “law enforcement against prohibition”

The LEAP organization is full of retired and current law enforcement officials who are in favor of legalizing ALL drugs. They have very compelling arguments too, and they obviously know what they are talking about; they are the people who were enforcing the drug laws.

Well many of them have repented their evil prohibition ways. And their videos on Youtube are definitely worth a watch.
