Discussion: Is President Bush "Morally Stunted"?

A forum member writes: Ethicist Peter Singer says that George W. Bush has the moral development of a 13 year old boy, seeing the world "very simply, in black and white, as good versus evil, and he thinks that America is the good guy, and therefore whatever America does is right".

A lot of people disagree with Singer's own ethical ideas - but while one might able to argue that he is wrong, one couldn't readily argue that Singer hasn't spent a lot of serious time thinking about ethics and trying to work out an ethical system. Can the same be said about George W. Bush? Doe she have a simplistic ethical perspective and, if so, is that necessarily a bad thing for a politician? Read More...
