Sex Education Embarrasses Conservative Texas Christians

Recently I've reported on complaints about the Girl Scouts "moral indecency" and the boycott that was successfully started against them in order to force them to pull out of co-sponsoring a sexual education program with Planned Parenthood. It appears that the whole issue has been giving conservative Christians in Texas the vapors.

MSNBC reports on reactions to a pamphlet that was designed:

“It embarrassed me to look at it with my husband,” said parent Shannon Donaldson.

Now, it is true that the pamphlet - which dealt with masturbation and homosexuality, among other things - may have been inappropriate for certain age levels. However, I find it rather interesting that this woman appears to be so repressed sexually that she was embarrassed just to look at it with her husband. An adult shouldn't be embarrassed by looking at material designed to teach young people about sexuality - this isn't hard-core pornography here.
