Boulder Schools Reverse on Pledge
According to the Star Tribune:
''My reaction is that it's a good thing,'' Barry Satlow, chairman of Boulder's ACLU chapter, told The Daily Camera. ''They shouldn't have Big Brother in Boulder.'' ... The Boulder Valley district and the ACLU are both bracing for whatever new version of the statute lawmakers may approve.
Schools would be better off trying to teach students why they should want to pledge allegiance rather than simply forcing them to do so. Or would that make too much sense?
