Same-Sex Marriages in Canada

The Canadian Supreme Court has struck down the country's legal definition of "spouse." Although the court said that this should not be construed as giving same-sex couples the right to marry, this ruling may force the government to acknowledge homosexual married partners in the same way that it acknowledges heterosexual married partners.
