Punishment in Hell for the Deadly Sin of Greed is to be Boiled Alive in Oil

Greedy people, those guilty of committing the deadly sin of greed, will be punished in hell by being boiled alive in oil for all eternity. I don't see a connection between the sin of greed and the punishment of being boiled in oil, unless of course they are being boiled in rare, expensive oil. In that case, maybe it serves them right.

boiled alive in oil

I thought one goes to hell only after one is dead.

But then what do I know about Christianity anyway?

Who said the punishment has to be connected to the sin? and the phrase boiled alive generally means that someone is conscious of the fact that they are being boiled

Your right Dave but some people think their going thru Hell on earth but the writer is missing the point about its punishment. Hell was created for the Devil and his angels not for the rest of us. I’m sure greed is not the only sin people commit. Hell is where God must puts sin rather than sinners. He plans to save all sinners of all sins in Heaven. but there is those who don’t chose Him and its their choice to go to Hell not Gods choice

Then most Americans will suffer this punishment in their silly mythological hell, since they have elevated Greed to iconic status, worship the rich, let bankers get away with crashing the economy, and think Jesus hates the poor and loves the wealthy. Sick, sick, sick, America. Looks closely in the mirror and think hard. This is already not going to be an American century as the 20th was, but it is possible to salvage something and get the nation on the path of logic, truth and fairness to all.
