Ethics and morality are often used interchangeably and they can mean the same thing in casual conversation. Strictly speaking, though, morality refers to what we would call moral standards and conduct whereas ethics refers to the formal study of those standards and conduct. Atheists and theists frequently debate a variety of issues in ethics: the origin of morality, proper moral behaviors, how to teach morality, the nature of morality, etc.

Most of the time, most of us walk in a fog of habit where ethics and morality don’t matter much. Ethics implies recognizing and solving problems. Morality implies following the rules. When we are in a fog, the rules are probabably handy to have.

yeah it’s Sad + Pathetic we spend all this Time debating + even more disgusting the amount of Resources + Brainpower devoted to Studying God + Religion!! We have far more pressing Problems in the World that need attention now + solving + propping up dat Phony Baloney Religion doesn’t solve a Single Thing – A Complete + Utter Waste of Time + $$$!!!
