(1) The Sojourner says:

This is why, even in these times, the popes and reverends live in financial security, while the poorest of their sheeple are encouraged to “tithe” for the “Lord”

The Pope, lives in decadent splendor with his gold crowns and Prada slippers in a palatial residence, all needs provided. Yet, there are people in his “flock”, all over the world, living in squalor, with diseases and suffering beyond comprehension.

I wonder how many reverends, etc., are living in circumstances, provided by people who themselves, may not have food on their tables or money for the next month’s rent? Oh yes, the poor are always with us alright. But they (the revs, etc.), are doing fine.

More reason to distrust holy books, as a way of gaining control and power over the unsuspecting populace.
