War on Christmas: We Can't Destroy Christianity Until We Destroy the Christian Christmas

For Christian Nationalists who promote the so-called War on Christmas, it's not enough to see references to Christmas everywhere. Instead, they insist that Christmas and Christian beliefs be given a special place of prominence over all other holidays during the season. If stores don't do it and thus don't make Christians special and favored, they won't spend their money in that store -- simply being equal is inadequate for their fragile egos.

Christmas is a completely secular holiday, it’s about consumerism, and almost nothing else. As a lifelong athiest, I absolutely adore Christmas, mostly because it reminds me of how desperate Christianity was to be adopted that it had to change the date of it’s prophet’s birthday celebration to coincide with ancient winter feasting dates in order to get anyone to even pretend to adopt it. Let’s hear it for the pagans.
