Atheism Basics: Why Should I Consider Atheism?

Is there any reason to think that atheism is better for me than theism? Is there any reason to think that my theism should be abandoned? This can be a difficult question to answer without knowing more about a person’s particular situation. There are two ways to interpret it: why should you, an individual in a specific situation, consider being an atheist, and why should anyone at all consider atheism and the challenges which atheism and atheists present to theistic beliefs?

Theism is still needed by some people.
I don’t think atheists really want to
banish religion, they just don’t want to see it get a foothold in government
or the school system. People can still do their religion in the thousands of churches that located every couple of blocks throughout the US and Canada. It is completely unnecessary for it to be in everyone’s face as it is today. Theism is like smoking, drug abuse and obesity. It’s a fact of life but hard to deal with personally. But as the truth becomes known we’ll all be better off without it. And if you don’t believe it, that’s part of your problem.
If there is no God, why worry about any of this?

Personally, I never waste even a moment of my time on ANY religious believer Sites.

Like, have a nice orgasm, masochistically mesmerizing ‘on’ the lies about the supposed Jesus; or his invisible, incredibly cruel, demonstrably unjust, totally and outrageously incompetent, as well as pathologically insane…AND, of course, IMAGINARY…Sky-Daddy!
