Myth: Atheists Believe In Nothing: Don't Atheists Care About Anything?
Sunday April 27, 2008
This question is based upon a misunderstanding of what atheism is. Many theists think that atheists don't believe in anything at all; evidently, we have no goals, no ideals, and no beliefs whatsoever. Hopefully those specific questions will be a little more informed than one I was asked once: “Does that mean you worship Satan?”
“— in fact, I’d say that it isn’t true of the vast majority of theists. ” I assume this is supposed to read “atheists”, not “theists”? =)
Just keepin’ ya honest Austin!
Ooh, “honest Austin”. That sounds like a good Jesus-free alternative to “Moral Orel”.
Personally, I believe in love at first sight. Call me crazy, but I do. =) I think the reason for it is that most people could be happy with almost anyone if they gave each other enough time, so naturally a relationship started out of a random event would still have a good chance of succeeding.

Since Gods are immaterial:= nothing, then, wouldn’t it be true that it is really the theist that believes in nothing?

The theist can believe in god as a concept, unless you deny that those exist.
You also need to define immaterial and material, as well as justify the premise that immaterial=nothing, before that argument can acheive anything.
