The Christian Right has fought hard to deny women the ability to make reproductive choices through restrictions on abortion, sex education, emergency contraception, and contraception generally. Barack Obama supports reproductive liberty and reproductive choices for women. He supports a woman's right to choose, even when it comes to late term abortions, and he supports federal funding of both contraceptives and sex education for teenagers.

Of course women should have reproductive rights.

But that does no mean they have the right to kill a viable fetus with independent DNA, like they can in Kansas as Tillers clinic.

Why not? What is wrong with killing a viable foetus?

Why not? What should happen to a woman who refuses to be forced to carry a pregnancy to term?

Because it is murder of Viable fetus, and independent human being with its own DNA.

Of course, if she can kill a baby a week before it is due, then why not a week after?

What should happen to a mother who refuses to care for a baby after it is born?

Murder is the unlawful killing of a person; abortion is not unlawful and not the killing of a person. Even if it were the killing of a person, though, why should a woman be forced to provide her body for the use of another person?

Of course, if she can kill a baby a week before it is due, then why not a week after?

Because it’s no longer using her body? The only reason for not seeing a difference between a week before birth and a week after birth is if you don’t see any value in the autonomy of the female body.

What should happen to a mother who refuses to care for a baby after it is born?

A woman who doesn’t want to care for a baby after it is born has the option of giving it to others, no questions asked. Ergo, killing it means taking unnecessary steps to eliminate the burden. Of course, if the woman’s body has no value beyond pregnancy, that won’t matter.
