Lustful people, those guilty of committing the deadly sin of lust, will be punished in hell by being smothered in fire and brimstone. There doesn't appear to be much connection between this punishment and the sin itself, unless one assumes that the lustful spent their time being "smothered" with physical pleasure and must now endure being smothered by physical torment. Yes, it does. How can people condemn human dictators that have their dissidents tortured and worship a god who does the same thing? Any god who would allow someone to be smothered in fire and brimestone for eternity sounds worse than the Nazis to me.

The seven deadly sins are never actually listed in the bible. From what I understand, the Catholic church created a list of the 7 sins that offend the god of Christianity and are supposedly most harmful to one’s soul.
