A forum member writes: For the sake or argument, let's accept the premise of intelligent design but put aside any kind of theistic premise as well.
Some possibilities:
1. Aliens may have seeded earth with life, especially sentient life.
2. We may be living in some kind of matrix like illusion in thrall to an intelligence that we cannot comprehend.
3. A solipsistic world of some kind, in which only I exist.
4. Some kind of a winkle in time or parallel universe brought our existence into existence in a way that we cannot comprehend.
5. Or...?
Proponents of Intelligent Design often insist that they aren't "really" talking about God and that the "designer" could be anything at all. If that's true, then what possible can candidates for "designer" are there? What else other than "God" could there be? Read More...
