I realize in your efforts to believe that there is no god and to persuade others as well, that you have overlooked the fact that in all religions the only thing there is for us to learn is LOVE and NO you don't have to believe in the Christian God to believe in love ,but it is what any God is trying to teach humans. So, until we humans learn to Love all species then we get to keep coming back to the training grounds of earth. There is no other meaning of life no matter how hard you try to think about it.
Actually, it takes no real effort at all not to believe in any gods - all I have to do is look around me and notice that there don't appear to be any good reasons for me to bother believing in such things. That's all it really takes. All I try to persuade others to do is to think more skeptically and critically about things like religion. If that means that they give up religion and/or theism, great. If not, that's fine too - so long as they continue to think critically about it.
At any rate, encouraging critical thinking about religious and theistic claims does not mean that I have overlooked the principle of love. On the contrary, I agree with it completely. I don't agree that it is the only meaning of life, but I would agree that life wouldn't have much meaning without it.
I mean really think about this, scientist tell you they date things by the layers of rock they are found in and yet they date the layer of rocks by the things they have found. Make any sense??? Absolutely NOT!!!!! Oh ya and you might say carbon dating but how do you know that's right, because someone told you????
Oh, and you were doing so well up to this point. The circularity you describe simply isn't true - it's a common bit of misinformation spread by creationists who either aren't educated well enough about evolution to known any better or who do know better but aren't bothered by deceit. Either way, you would be well advised to get your information about science from scientists, not from creationists.

We have a strong theory that carbon dating is right because a great deal of peer reviewed and publicly available tangible evidence powerfully suggests that it is.
On the other hand, there is absolutely no evidence at all to suggest that a fatuity such as “God is love” is any more “right” than any other vaccuous utterance, like for instance “God is a warm fart at Christmas”.
Love is, in fact, a pleasurable biochemical condition which occurs in the brain in response to certain social and/or sexual stimuli. The effect can be approximated by the consumption of chocolate.
